Research shows that about six percent of adults will experience PTSD at some point in their lives, and for military members, that rate jumps to 23%. Although several evidence-based treatments for PTSD are available, obstacles to their use remain. The most concerning aspect is the high dropout rate of clients from the recommended first-line PTSD treatments.
